It’s just because they stain the eye. So it’s “not safe to label them as eyeshadow”. That’s why they’re called pressed pigments

i am not by any means a JC follower anymore but i used to be and i will say he is the one that taught most of us the difference between pressed pigments and eye shadows and i will also say he always made clear the rules and techniques when using. i actually remember he wouldn’t shut up about it in any of his videos. he’s not a good person by any means and i understand the hate but we should be doing more research.

I don’t have the original packaging for my morphe X James palette anymore but they mentioned it on the box not meant for sensitive skin, also I’ve never had an issue with it 🤷♀️
