One thing I learned if they're mean to everybody they're just a bad person or have something clinically wrong with them but if they're mean to only one person or a select group of people in private or in spaces where there are not a lot of other males they are an abusive person.

My abusive ex was an attorney who defended women who were in domestic violent situations…. At our court he argued he never hit me, since he used pressure points to try to squeeze my eyes, trying to cause a stroke that he learned in the military…. He showed the court all of his awards from protecting women…. He would’ve gotten a way with it, until a woman attorney so him accosting me in the court hallways…. He got away with it.

My ex-husband was so charming. People to this day absolutely love him but they have no idea the awful man he was behind closed doors. I still feel like people are skeptical of my lived experience of being abused by him because of how well he presents himself to the public 😒

This is my ex. He was always the friend/family member that was reliable, always showed up for everybody, drops everything to be there for you. So ppl found it hard to believe that he is an actual deadbeat to his son, hasn’t seen him in 6yrs.
