@ourlove1001: Ben Affleck just showed fans a surprisingly playful side of himself, and the internet can't get enough! The Oscar-winning actor recently recreated a dramatic scene from the popular Mexican telenovela Rebelde while promoting his new Netflix thriller, Animals, which premiered on October 9. In the clip, Affleck fully embraced the over-the-top drama, leaving people in the studio laughing. Fans quickly shared their reactions online, with some joking that he looked happier than ever and others calling for him to star in a Spanish-language movie. But there's a reason the performance felt natural to him. During the film's promotional tour, Affleck revealed that he picked up much of his Spanish by watching Mexican soap operas when he was younger. His connection to the culture has now become an unexpected highlight of his latest press appearances. Away from the viral moment, Affleck has also been discussing the deeper themes of Animals, which he directs and stars in alongside Kerry Washington. He explained that the thriller explores marriage, honesty, and the difference between how people present themselves to the world and who they really are behind closed doors. The film almost looked completely different, too. Affleck initially planned to direct without acting in it, before reworking the project and taking on the leading role himself. Now, a playful telenovela impression has given audiences another reason to talk about the actor.
