Sharing Birdie’s journey has been one of the most beautiful and challenging things we’ve ever done❤️‍🩹 We shared the incredible moments AND the really hard ones because we knew there was something so powerful about the way this girl chose to LIVE through all of it🕊️ And the messages we received from people all around the world who found hope, strength or a new perspective on life through Birdie’s story have been truly incredible🥹 But one of the most touching messages we received came from Vic💕 Earlier this year, her life changed in an instant when an accident resulted in her losing both of her legs. She told us that she and Birdie were “climbing the same mountain”… and on the days that mountain felt impossible, she would look at Birdie and think, “if she can do it, so can I”🏔️💪🏼 Birdie had no idea that while she was fighting her own battles, somewhere else in the world she was helping someone find the strength to fight theirs😭 Today we hopped on FaceTime with Vic so she could “meet” Birdie and somehow the timing of this beautiful conversation happened at one of the biggest turning points in Birdie’s journey💕 So we let her in on a little secret that the rest of the world has to wait a little longer to find out… where Birdie’s forever home is! Because Birdie is going HOME🏡 and the next post you see will be Birdie meeting her forever family🥹🫶🏼
