@news.studio2: Karl-Anthony Towns Shares the Odd Wedding Advice Jalen Brunson Was “Adamant” About Karl-Anthony Towns got some unusual advice before he said “I do.” Towns married Jordyn Woods on Aug. 15 in Malibu, California. He told PEOPLE that his Knicks teammate and captain, Jalen Brunson, was very “adamant” about one thing. “Jalen told me, ‘Don’t lock your legs at the altar,’” Towns recalled. “He said, ‘You’ll fall over.’” Towns joked that he has no idea why Brunson said it. “He must have had a different experience than I had,” he said. Now, less than two months later, Towns says he is still surprised by how fast the day went. “When it’s your wedding, it feels like a very short day,” he said. “You don’t really get to live it.” He said he expected an “extravaganza,” and it was one. But then, he said, it felt like everyone was suddenly leaving. “I feel like we just got started,” he remembered thinking. The guest list included Ben Stiller, Tracy Morgan, Jada Pinkett Smith, Michael B. Jordan, Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet and Gayle King. NBA guests included Brunson, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Chris Paul. Towns says married life has not changed much. The wedding, he said, felt like a “formality” because they were already in a good place. But he called it a “fun” one. So much so that he wants to do it again. “We gotta have another wedding,” he said. “We don’t even have to have the ceremony.
