@seeandsavethedogs: 1 year old Cupcakes had been waiting for a home since March in Los Angeles 💔 This beautiful girl has been overlooked for too long, she was lucky enough to get a 4th of July foster for that weekend and here’s what they had to say about her: Cupcakes is the sweetest girl. She loves to initiate full body snuggles and belly rubs, and plays with energy but gentleness. She has a gentle presence and did wonderful in our quiet home of two adults. She explored our large yard, smelling every single thing, and enjoyed quietly watching the neighbors dogs walk by. Cupcakes day by day opened up and became more confident, pushing boundaries of how close she can get to the kitchen/food, but was extremely open and receptive to boundaries of no and stay. She needs continued training on that. Cupcakes did well in the crate, needing a toy to suckle or chew on to self soothe. She loved to sleep on her dog bed through the night and never had a potty accident. Cupcakes never barked, unfortunately only noises were some little growls if she wasn’t sure of something. She showed zero aggression or reaction to her foster parents. She took directions and no’s, feedings, toy removal, and treats extremely well. Cupcakes reactive growls came with loud noises such as someone in the park dramatically dropping their bicycle and a neighbor on the other side of the fence raising their arms above their head just too close to her foster parents. Cupcakes is waiting for her people to call home, could that be you? #dog #shelterdog #rescuedog #adoptdontshop #fyp Cupcakes A2263388 1 year old, 52 lbs 📍 North Central Shelter 3201 Lacy Street, Los Angeles, CA 90031 ⏰ Tues–Fri 8AM–5PM Closed Mondays Sat & Sun 11AM–5PM 888-452-7381; laanimalservices.com
