Yes absolutely, parenting is a shared responsibility. Plus you have the fact that most couples, both work full-time. There aren't all that many stay at home moms like there were in the 60's and earlier.

Depends on the mother, hear me out is she breastfeeding at that time as well? If so, they you do not need to zombies in the house. If not then yes alternate. I’m a father and sometimes thats most time I got alone with the babies.. well worth it!
