my middle school and high school had soooo many tea and “exposed” pages that would literally just post nudes (ala csam) of girls and i graduated 2024. its crazy this has been happening since the beginning of social media i always assumed it was a “newer” thing

my high school had a secrets page, a shipping page, a confessions page, a sleeping page, a bad posture page, a rating girls page, and a “no context” page for miscellaneous weird shit. thats probably not even all of them. 1984 level surveillance 😭😭😭😭

I’ve seen people hate on it and say they didn’t have much bullying in the show and I was shocked because this is the most accurate portrayal of bullying I have ever seen in a show. It was so well done.

i’m from the uk and this happened all the timeeee, people even used to make “bait” accounts where people sent eachothers nudes n they’d be posted on the story with their name and @🫠

The bullying on this show hit way more close to home than the other adaptations, bullies often try to wrap their bullying around plausible deniability, anonymity or just plain gaslighting in order to make themselves look righteous for bullying you

Settle this debate for me! So I’m 30 and remember the exposed pages and confessions pages, and that part of it felt dated to me bc that was my middle and high school experience, like in 2008 I vividly remember my class getting in trouble for my class making an “exposed” page about a teacher at school, YikYak in college and the anon question pages in HS! I’ve either gotten old enough that it has FULLY come around or else it’s still going on. Obvs don’t have teen children so I don’t know!
