Do you have pain in your shoulder when doing pressing motions, overhead lifts, or push-ups? Here's the thing: it's mostly not a shoulder problem. It's actually a shoulder blade and muscle imbalance issue. Let me explain-and show you how to fix it. Here's what I do with my patients who have this kind of pain: Take a band and put it around your hands. By externally rotating against the band, you're activating the shoulder blade muscles and rotator cuff-the ones that stabilize the shoulder. Now start at eye level, with your pinkies touching the wall. Keep them there as you slide your arms up. Focus on feeling your shoulder blades move upward as you go. Once you reach the top, push your head through your arms and hold for a second. Then slowly bring your arms down, and as you lower, push your elbows toward the wall. Do as many reps as it takes until you feel tired. Rest and repeat for a second set. Now go back to that pressing motion. You should notice less pain and better function-because you've trained the muscles to move your shoulder blade the way it's supposed to. If you want to press more weight, get stronger, and keep your shoulders healthy, try this move. It'll help you get better-not older.🔥 #HeyDrRob #GBNO #GetBetterNotOlder #shoulderpain #shoulderpress
