@offenceregister: A 67-year-old Weaverham man caught with child sexual abuse images across all three severity categories has been sentenced. Chester Magistrates’ Court heard that Robert Dickens, of Weaverham, Cheshire, possessed and downloaded illicit material including Category A images, the most serious classification recognised in law. Dickens pleaded guilty to one count of possessing indecent photographs of children and three counts of making indecent photographs of children. On 5 October 2026, District Judge Ian Barnes handed Dickens an eight-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months, ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work, and placed him on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years.
