If you're planning to rush in college, you probably already know to avoid posting anything inappropriate on social media. But there are a few LESS obvious things that could be hurting your first impression with sorority members! 👠 Here are 4 social media red flags future PNMs should be aware of: 1️⃣ Having an Instagram that tells people absolutely NOTHING about you. If your entire profile is selfies, mirror pictures, and posed photos, it's hard for someone looking at your page to get a sense of who you actually are! Show your hobbies, friendships, activities, travels, and everyday life. Give girls something they can connect with you over! 2️⃣ Only posting pictures with the exact same group of girls. It's wonderful to have close friends, but if every single picture is with the same three people, your profile might not show much about your social life outside that circle. Mix in pictures from different activities, experiences, and friendships! 3️⃣ Having tagged photos that don't match the image you're trying to present. You might have cleaned up your own Instagram, but have you looked at your tagged photos? Take a few minutes to review what other people have posted of you, too. If your friends are rushing too, they’re probably making their accounts public as well, which means more tagged photos of you to double check… 4️⃣ Going completely inactive for months leading up to recruitment. You don't need to post every day, but having an account that hasn't been updated in a year doesn't give people much to work with! Share things naturally and consistently, especially throughout your senior year. Plus - between hoco, prom, and graduation activities, there’s so much fun stuff to share senior year!! Remember, the goal isn't to create a PERFECT Instagram. It's to have a profile that gives people a genuine glimpse into your personality and interests! 💗 Want to feel more confident and prepared BEFORE sorority recruitment begins? 👠💗 Our Insider Pass is designed to help future PNMs and their moms navigate the process with guidance every step of the way! PS - Today is the LAST day to sign up to get the October social media drop!!! Click the link in our bio to join! #sororityrush #sororityrecruitment
