Here’s what I kept doing for a year ⬇️ Even when I wondered if it was working. Even when the mirror looked the same. Even when life got busy and my week didn’t go as planned. There’s one year between these two versions of me. And the things that made the difference were things I could keep coming back to: ➡️ Strength trained at home with ONLY dumbbells 3-5x/week ➡️ Followed my structured weekly workout plan instead of piecing together random workouts ➡️ Focused on getting stronger over time with controlled reps and weights that challenged me ➡️ Walked 10-12k steps most days ➡️ Ate balanced meals with protein, carbs + fats. Nutrition played a role, too! ➡️ Stopped letting one missed workout turn into “I’ll start over next Monday” ➡️ Kept going through the weeks when I couldn’t see a difference yet That last one. 👏🏼 It’s hard to keep showing up when you’re looking for proof that your effort is doing something. But getting through more reps, reaching for a heavier dumbbell, or feeling less winded matters, too. Pay attention to those wins. And with the holiday season here, your routine might need a little flexibility. Maybe you choose the 30-minute workout. Maybe it’s three days this week instead of five. Maybe you miss a day and pick back up at your next planned workout. You can enjoy this season and still make time for yourself. The dumbbell workouts I followed are the same weekly workouts I share inside Movement With Julie. Having a plan meant I could spend less time figuring out what to do and more time actually doing it. You don’t have to know exactly where you’ll be a year from now to do your first workout today. Give yourself a chance to be so glad you started 😉 Save this for the days you need that reminder. #workoutmotivation #homeworkout #dumbbellworkout #workoutroutine
