If an AI company believes its technology could produce a catastrophic outcome, what does its decision to continue developing and deploying that technology tell us about its actual priorities???? Humans establish the architecture, provide the training environment/sandbox, define the objectives, grant access to tools, and decide where the system operates. So it's human created systems! We should distinguish between deliberately instructing a system to do something catastrophic and creating conditions in which a system might produce catastrophic consequences without anyone intending that particular outcome.
