@_augustinhadelich: Clarence Cameron White's "Levee Dance" was written in 1927, and was a popular encore piece that has been a bit forgotten over the years. Joyce Yang and I recorded a virtual collaboration of it in 2020, which I really enjoyed - but we really wanted to get a chance to play it together in person, and the opportunity finally came when we recorded our program for The Violin Channel's Vanguard Concerts! Written in a kind of jazzy salon style, the middle section features the beautiful melody of the spiritual "Go Down, Moses". The whole piece lies wonderfully on the instrument and is a lot of fun! #violin #orchestra #fyp #classicalmusic #performance
