I was avoiding chartreuse and burgundy when picking my colors for this reason and then I realized that every single palette I looked at was dated or will be dated. Blush and sage? Already dated imo. So I’m going with olive, mauve, maroon, and blues and idc if it looks dated in 5 years

it is decidedly not timeless lol it’s so trendy rn. and who cares about timeless?? it’s your wedding!! I feel like weddings should look like the time you got married?? I think it’s beautiful to see wedding photos and being able to date them to a specific time period because it shows how your love has remained.

we were acutely aware of the fact that nothing we’d choose is timeless. So instead, we threw everything that brought us joy at the wall and it was a lot of fun doing it. I love the wedding now, and I’ll love making fun of it in 10 years. That’s kinda the circle of life, makes things special in their own weird way ♥️

thank youuuu, i’ve been saying this for agessss. if it’s not your colors that dates you/your wedding, it’s your dress. if it’s not your dress that looks dated, it’s your photos. if it’s not your photos, it’s your cake, and so on and so forth because time literally changes and dates EVERYTHING. just pick what you like because it makes you happy, not bc it’s giving timelessness 🥹
