I saw these guys being talked about on here and ended up having a bit of a back and forth with the brand. I decided to take the plunge and order a couple of fragrances to show some support to a fairly new company. So… Let’s get into it. 🌿 Scent Breakdown 🍋 Opening That lemon hits you hard. But in a good way. It’s almost photo-realistic. You can actually smell the tartness, like you’ve just squeezed a lemon straight onto your skin. The grapefruit is listed, but it’s quite faint. That may be because the lemon is doing so much of the talking. 🌶️ Dry Down Cinnamon becomes the strongest note at this stage. Which surprised me because I could already feel a warm sweetness coming through in the initial stages. The vanilla isn’t as sweet as I expected either. But it’s definitely noticeable. 🪵 Once Settled The leather and woody notes come through extremely smoothly. And honestly? Not quite how I was expecting them to smell. To be fair, this fragrance didn’t need an overpowering base. The notes work very well together as they are. 📈 Performance * 1–2 hours of projection * Medium sillage * 6–7 hours as a skin scent * Around 8 hours on clothes 👔 When & Where To Wear * 💼 Office * 👊🏽 Catching up with the lads * 👕 Everyday wear * 🌙 Evening * 🍂 Autumn * ❄️ Cooler weather ✅ Pros * Realistic tart lemon opening * Warm cinnamon * Balanced vanilla * Smooth leather * Well-blended woods * Versatile * Solid longevity ❌ Cons * Grapefruit is faint * Expected more potency from an extrait * Not particularly groundbreaking ⭐ Overall Score – 7.5/10 The notes intrigued me. And did it deliver? I’d say so. That lemon opening is probably the first thing that grabbed me. It’s tart, realistic and almost feels like you’ve just squeezed a fresh lemon straight onto your skin. The grapefruit is there, but it’s quite faint. Then the cinnamon comes through and becomes the star of the dry down, with the vanilla adding some warmth without becoming overly sweet. And once this settles? The leather and woods come through extremely smoothly. That actually surprised me because I was expecting the base to be a little stronger. But honestly, it didn’t need to be. Everything works together really well without one note trying to take over the whole fragrance. I tested this at the office and then wore it while having a quick catch up with the lads. And it worked well in both situations. So versatility definitely isn’t an issue for me. The one thing I will say is that, being an extrait, I thought this was going to be a bit more potent. 1–2 hours of projection and medium sillage is decent, and 6–7 hours on skin with around 8 hours on clothes is nothing to complain about. But I expected more from the concentration. Having said that… The way this smells makes up for it. It’s smooth. It’s easy to wear. The notes work well together. And while I wouldn’t call it groundbreaking, it does exactly what it sets out to do and it does it well. For me, 7.5/10 is a good score.
