It actually doesn’t matter which way the ladder is facing. If someone isn’t holding it at the bottom it will kick out as you jump.

You can literally see the refs holding the ladder wrong in the pic, they are supposed to hold the front leg and the middle so there is no slip

The refs weren't holding the ladder well. You can't just hold it, you have to stand on the bottom step and put all your weight on the side she's jumping off.

They obviously would have rehearsed and practiced that spot a lot or else they wouldn’t have done it on live tv. She probably was just a little short on the jump and bumped her head, no need to criticize her for it. She also walked it off like a champ

How do we know that the catch crew weren't like a pace or 2 off the floor mark? Seems like Tiffany Stratton landed where she wad supposed to and the catch crew needed to move over by a step or 2

She didn’t jump she was supposed to jump and they would have caught her, but because she didn’t jump properly the distance between her head and the ladder is too short for them to catch her…is she supposed to be a gymast is she…..
