Saylor has been identified as the little girl who was critically injured during Thursday’s shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. Three children and a teacher were killed. A fundraiser organized by Trisa Lovejoy describes Saylor as a loving, feisty little girl with a fierce determination to thrive. She is a daughter, a sister and a niece whose family is now standing beside her as she recovers from something no child should ever experience. According to the fundraiser, Saylor already had significant medical needs before this shooting. Both of her parents are self-employed, and their ability to work has been limited while caring for her.
