I just got my SM465 back from a rebuild and when I go to reverse (particularly when the truck is on an incline or "twisted") I have to slam it a few times to get that detent to kick so it'll stay in gear. I contacted the shop and they said it was normal for the 1st couple thousand miles. I have never heard of or encountered this. Your's went in like butter. Have you come across this?
