I personally thought we looked very good up until the red card, one poor refereeing decision completely killed our rhythm, momentum and shape, once again the luck and decisions go City’s way, same old story, as if their cheating wasn’t enough of an advantage, the officiating just bolsters their chances even more. I think there were a lot of positives to take from this game, let’s just take it on the chin, move on, and watch the smiles disappear from their faces in the new year, we will all have the last laugh in the end!

Gravenberch got sent off because he was the best player on the pitch! The problem is that until City are removed from the league, every decision that goes their way on the pitch is going to be open to accusations of cheating.

Before the match we were without Szobs, Isak and Gakpo. Then started the match with nine men with Wirtz and Barcola playing. Then down to eight with the red and then seven with a Frimpong coming on. Expensive players need clearing out and replacing. As for City it will drag on and it’s about money so they’ll get off lightly.
