All the comments trying to shame you for having an indoor/outdoor cat is crazy. So many cats were born outdoors and are miserable if you keep them inside all the time. If you live in a nice/safe suburban neighborhood it’s a small risk that is worth them being happier. My cat literally waits by the door to dart outside if I don’t let her out at least 1-2 times per day but guess what? She never goes far and runs back into the house when I whistle. She’s also ear tipped bc she used to be feral. Ppl need to understand not all cats were born/raised in the same conditions. My cat literally takes walks with me unleashed bc she says RIGHT by my side the whole time.

I took in a stray from down the road and he does the same thing lol, we literally let him in or out whenever he wants but he knows where the food is and where shelter is on cold/rainy/snowy days. He loves us but also likes to hunt and explore.
