in the beginning cooking honestly felt overwhelming! tbh it felt like a lot of work with little reward lol. the mental stress of finding a recipe you actually think you can make AND enjoy, the financial stress of buying ingredients and the overall feeling of “it’s just way easy to order in”. i’m sooo grateful i kept trying new things, finding what worked for me and changed my view on cooking at home. this is a way to control what goes in my body completely. if i decide to cook something not so healthy at home at least i know i did my best ingredients wise and didn’t spend as much money on something that was unhealthy anyways! the more i cook the more i can come up with in the kitchen. i learned more about myself. do i need to clean up as i go or is it best for me to do it all at the end? is it better for me to prepare the ingredients today and cook tomorrow or do it all tomorrow so they’re fresh? you think about so many things you wouldn’t have otherwise and you get to reflect on yourself and your own preferences as well as what you do well in and what you struggle with! i hated cooking meat for the longest time! (i am a biggg meat eater) i hate it because i always messed it up different meats need different temperatures and for different times it just felt all too overwhelming. yk what fixed that??? a meat thermometer. lol!! sometimes it’s the little things we just need to fix and we blossom from it! i hope you see my post and decide to cook something yummy for yourself, a loved one or if you have a family, them. #loveincooking #eatathome #healthyeating #targetaudience
