Sometimes, I wonder how some of you think. Maybe you have had such experiences, but it’s crazy how you can make a video and use one person’s actions to condemn an entire tribe. I’m a Tiv guy based in the eastern part of Nigeria. One of my Igbo guy’s sisters was married to an Idoma man who is now late. When he passed away, his family did not take a penny from the woman or deprive her of her belongings. They left her with everything. So why should we use the actions of one person to judge an entire tribe? Every tribe has good and bad people. No tribe has a monopoly on wickedness, and no tribe has a monopoly on kindness. Let’s stop promoting tribal hatred because of individual experiences. One person’s actions do not define an entire tribe. We are all human beings, and humanity should come before tribal differences.

Not all Idoma people are bad. My mum is from Kaduna State, and she got married to my dad. My dad passed away in 2015, but none of my uncles or aunties has asked my mum to leave or tried to take my dad’s property away from her. This shows that not everyone is the same, and we shouldn’t judge an entire tribe based on the actions of a few people.
