@dailycatholicthings: Hey friends, before the 800s a lot of writing was ALL CAPS with no spaces. Hard to read. Monks helped spread a script with small letters, spaces, and punctuation. One style could be read across Europe. Almost every old Latin book we still have was copied in this age. Thank God for the monks who saved the words. Would you last one day as a copyist?
