Anthony Kila, the pro-chancellor of Michael and Cecilia Ibru University (MCIU), has long presented himself publicly as a professor and a “Jean Monnet Professor of Strategy and Development”, but PREMIUM TIMES has found that he was never awarded the academic rank. Mr Kila, appointed pro-chancellor of MCIU in August 2025, has a long list of academic profiles that present him as a well-educated and widely travelled jurist, professor, scholar, accomplished professional, author, and public commentator of repute. #nigeria #nigeriatiktok #nigerianews #nigerianewspaperheadlines

one thing i’ve been asked a lot since i started posting my training videos was why i switch my exercises in my workouts so frequently, so i figured i’d explain that here. each muscle group has a different function that it is meant to do. for example, your bicep is for bending your elbow (elbow flexion), your chest is for bringing your arms together across your body (adduction), and so forth. now, however you choose to train that function is entirely up to you. you can use dumbbells, machines, cables- it doesn’t matter. they are all the same patterns that you’re doing. you can do a pec fly on a cable or on a pec dec and as long as you’re bringing your arms together across your body, then you’re fine. so, i train with that exact philosophy. my body will not know the difference between an incline bench on a smith or a machine- it’s the same thing anatomically. people have a sticking point for some reason that you need to do the exact same workout for periods at a time to “track growth” the right way, but that’s what i find so boring about the gym. why, when it is your choice to workout, would you make it even harder on yourself by convincing your mind that the only way you will progress is if you stick to some sort of plan that doesn’t take into account how you feel or what you want? the gym does not have to be a prison cell. you’re lifting weights and training muscles. it’s as simple as that. for me, i find enjoyment in progressing my patterns over time. if my lat pulldown (in general, across all the exercises) gets stronger, then why would i bore myself with the same exact thing everyday? not sure. anyways, this is all just my opinion and at the end of the day anyone is free to train how they want to. it took me awhile to find this much mental freedom in the gym, and i always have to remind myself that i choose to go. no one is forcing you to lift, so just enjoy it a little. there’s no pressure on you to succeed on anyone’s timeline, to look a certain way, or be anything you’re not. just workout, fuel your body, and live life to its fullest potential outside the gym. | fit from @DFYNE (code chuckie)
