That's your experience. I have been in 6 weddings, plus my own, plus helped with at least a dozen more the weekend of. Not one of them had the men scrambling. It was women and women only. Men showed up an hour before and drank with the other men. Happy to hear it does happen, but this isn't the norm.

OMG…. I only wish I could have seen my daddy’s day on my wedding day. I lost my daddy when I was 16 and he was 47 from a massive heart attack. I walked down the aisle by myself because no one could ever replace him. He was the very best person I’ve ever met. I would give almost anything to follow him around on my sister’s wedding day.
