The W.J. Megin Construction Company was actually a major local force in Connecticut's industrial history. Ironically, before building their own mid-century circular headquarters in 1965, the company was actually hired years prior to build and remodel parts of the Peter Paul candy plant itself!

Built with a distinct Mid-Century Modern architectural style featuring two elevated, "floating" circular saucer wings, the complex was primarily leased and used as a computer center and corporate office space during the 1980s by the Peter Paul Candy Manufacturing Company (the famous makers of Mounds and Almond Joy bars), whose main factory was located just down the street. I never knew what the building was used for.
