@sheikulislaaaam: The Expatriate — The Man Working Abroad May Allah be there to help every man living abroad. He works hard, strives, struggles, and exhausts himself. He carries worries that no one knows about except Allah. He wakes up early in the morning and goes to bed late at night, exhausted. He endures the pressure of work. Sometimes, he works under the scorching sun, and sometimes, he falls ill without having anyone to take care of him. The question is: Why does he put himself through all this? For his wife and children. So that he can see them doing well and living a comfortable life. To the wives and children of men working abroad, please, for Allah’s sake, appreciate their sacrifices. Do not take their efforts for granted. There are men whose hair has turned grey while living abroad, whose years have passed between airports and workplaces, all so they can provide you with an honourable living and put food on your table. So, do not repay kindness with mistreatment, nor loyalty with betrayal. If he sends you even a single cedi, spend it on what pleases Allah and on things that will benefit you. Some fathers send money home while depriving themselves of many things. They continue wearing old clothes, postpone their own needs, and endure financial hardship just so their families can live comfortably and with dignity. Fear Allah when it comes to their feelings. Be gentle with their hearts and appreciate their sacrifices. May Allah reward every man working far away from home, bless his provision, ease his burdens, protect his family, and reunite him with his loved ones in happiness and good health.
