@._harlequinn: Philipp Mainländer (1841-1876) was a German philosopher best known for developing an extremely pessimistic philosophy inspired by Schopenhauer. His central idea was unusual: According to Mainländer, in the beginning there was a single absolute unity ("God"). God desired non-existence and therefore shattered Himself into the universe. The entire world is the result of this fragmentation. Everything in existence is ultimately moving toward death and the cessation of being. #philosophy #larp #targetaudience #pessimism
