You can take the bulbs out of it and put a LED candle in there that looks like an actual lit candle

Are you sure this is not a gas lantern that has been converted? We have one and that hole on the bottom of the topper is for a key to to control and shut off. Not an expert here.

Try unscrewing the finial on the top of the lantern…you might need to release it before you try to take it off

I have a lamp like this. I have a solar one that I think used to be gas. I think you’ll be surprised how much sun that’ll still get. I bet it’ll still work

The little thingy on top might need to be unscrewed so you can get the rest of it off. That’s the way ours works.

I have one in my yard that doesn't work either. And a mysterious switch in the house next to the porch light switch that I think used to connect to the lamp in the yard.
