Wow I was so surprised at this one. I love your videos but I have never heard of this before, crazy. lol. I mean my family has been having birthdays out for years, fancy and not so fancy restaurants and this has never happened. Learn something new everyday.

I think it’s really compensating for them not buying dessert from the restaurant. While it may seem like a steep fee, say you have 6 people and you would have ordered at least 3 desserts for the table. If you don’t like it, go elsewhere or eat cake at home

I think the cost is stupid. BUT I also wouldn’t bring my own food to a restaurant? Seems to kind of defeat the purpose of eating out.

Yikes!!! That’s madness!! And the restaurant cuts half the cake, serves small portions and the kitchen staff eat the rest.

my restaurant wouldn't store cakes in the fridge due to possible cross contamination of allergens. we could put them on the counter in the bar but not allowed anywhere near the kitchen, some customers would get so angry about it.
