Both lungs for me. I was also told left lung was rare and endo continuing after hysterectomy was impossible. After the last 2 years of pushing just had my 2nd lung surgery to remove endo from left lung. Still have it right despite full thoracotomy on right 7 years ago. Maybe not so rare, we are just not believed. I’ve been suffering 15 years & looked at like I’m crazy by doctors despite history of pneumothorax

I don’t think they’re “extremely rare” there are so many women with endometriosis and it’s so hard to detect on scans. I think it’s probably in more places then doctors realise

Mine spread to my lung, bladder, sigmoid colon, and rectum. So much adhesions and banding my colon was stuck to my abdominal wall, my ovaries as well

I’ve been living with endometriosis for over 34 years, and the progress in awareness, diagnosis, and treatment still feels painfully slow. I know we’ve made some progress, but I’ve spent an entire lifetime suffering from this disease. We deserve better. We deserve more research, earlier diagnosis, and better treatment options.

There is an extreme lack of knowledge and even our "specialists" aren't actually specialized in endo, at least how we expect them to be. I have been suffering for 12 years and I just got diagnosed this year. Not one professional even brought up endo as a possibility. I had to bring it up and fight so hard to be listened to. I have been so dismissed and gaslit all these years.

I spent 7 years with a painful node at the back of my neck. Near my hairline. It gets swollen and hurts a week before my period and dissapears when it starts. Turns out it was endo all along.

I’m seeing an endo specialist at Stanford and the symptoms overlap with pelvic dysfunction from EDS and I have EDS so we’re unsure what exactly it is I have a surgery scheduled in January to see once and for all 😳 it’s like I obviously don’t hope they find it but I’d like to have answers to all this pain and finding a pelvic floor therapist that specializes in EDS is so hard
