To the people saying he didn’t prepare because things are already breaking: I served on a 7 billion dollar aircraft carrier and we broke within the first hour of every deployment and underway. Things break and you can’t test half of them until you’re underway anyway.

One of the amazing things about being able to follow a persons journey while they sail around the world, in real time, is that you can also learn about sailing at the same time. I encourage everyone to put the same energy into learning about sailing, as they do into following him, speculating, sharing uninformed opinions, and creating worry amongst the other uninformed fans. I have learned a ton about sailing and it’s very interesting.

He said 2 hours ago he was changing directions and changing his sailing plan he’s repairing his hydro generator also so maybe he’s going against current trying to get it to power

Having to make major repairs not even a week out doesn’t sound like he tested the boat out before the big journey. I would’ve put my boat through some type of major test before shipping out. Who ever helped him on his boat did a poor job imo
