My younger sister is up there, she left at age 30, leaving behind a 6 year old daughter. Knowing Drue, she hangs around at the entrance so she can be the first person that whoever comes in next will meet. And in spite of her addiction, she's a huge presence and nothing but love flows from her. I am very sorry for your loss and I have been where you maybe now, I'll keep a positive thought for you. And excuse my unsolicited comment/advice if I am out of line. This was said to me by my sister's best friend following my sister's overdose, in which the money she used to buy her final and fatal dose came from me unknowingly. She told me that Drue had put herself on this path long ago, and she knew she was walking a jagged edge but it was her lack fear of falling over the edge, though she wasn't trying to, that took her life. She was going to buy and use whether she got the money from me or anyone or anywhere else. She tried to remind me that it wasn't on me. I could never see that way but what did come from that conversation was the beginning of my grief and it didn't allow me to prolong the beginning of that process. Without it I probably would no addressed that grief for a long time and who knows how my walks along the jagged edge would have gone. We all grieve differently and there's no wrong way, joy and grief can co-exist simultaneously as we can be laughing at a fond memory while our hearts are breaking in the background. The opposite of grief is not happiness, the opposite of grief is forgetting, but who can forget...it's a normal and natural response to loss and there's no right or wrong way. Missing someone is sadness wrapped in the blessing of having known and loved them.

So sorry for what you are going thru, and what Jason must have went through..😪 Prayers…I believe there are so many dealing with friends and family with addictions and we can’t fix it, so we need another way to get help! Will someone that knows how please find a path to make more help available, and stop the madness

im very sorry for your loss. Jason looks like he was a cool down to earth dude. Its always tragic when things like this happen. Please try to hold your head up during this tragedy and don't fall into a depression. I'm sure Jason would not want you being depressed over him. I know you might think its easy for me a complete stranger to say this but I've known two people in my life who have had a similar thing happen and it hurts I know it does.
