It sounds like this is the part of malicious compliance that we have to be careful with. She forgot that while we’re following all policies to a T, we have to do it with a smile and a good attitude. When the guest complains or leaves a review, it’s all about the managers calls and the manager can’t grasp on to a “bad attitude” complaint and make it about you!

I work food and beverage and I tell my customers that I treat them how I’d want my mom to be treated somewhere. Last night we were sold out. I was tired and hurting and still tried hard to show each person kindness and make them feel important and valued because they are.
