Financial literacy needs to be a skill everyone learns in high school. Have two accounts - one is strictly for bills (create a buffer amount that reside in thy account monthly and that way you’ll know exactly how much you need to put in that account per pay), if you want I can help walk you through it.

its unfortunately expensive to be poor :( i personally think saving for the future is a waste bc its not guaranteed.. for investing and saving, contributing to a roth account every year (investing it so you grow ur money plus using a roth ira so ur profit isnt taxed i think(?? u should check me on that tbh) plus it being for retirement so ur taking care of future you) and then keeping some money in a high yield savings account for emergencies (better than a normal savings account bc u get a better interest rate) should be enough

Same sista same! After saving, investing and paying bills I barely have anything left! Practically paycheck to pay check because I don’t got no money to pour into myself as I would like. I’m trying to upgrade my skills tho so going back to school to have a higher earning potential while building a business 🤷♀️

gurl I feel the same way. I am currently in debt which is mostly my fault. I would have some money if it wasnt for that. but even before the debt. it was still always something. save for a car. save for an apt. save to get my teeth fixed. yes I had the money to do it buttttt that's not what I wanted to spend it on. still had to budget and watch how I spent my money to do nice things. couldn't just spend and be ok. smh. its all a crock.
