As a dispatcher when those panic alarms go off it alerts every dispatcher regardless of the city they are dispatching for! We don’t send one we send all!!

My dad was pewpewed in the line of duty in 2005. He called over he had been hit and three counties responded. It is an all hands on deck situation, and im thankful my dad was able to come home. 20 years later and he still wears a uniform, now watches over kids at schools, and praying that it doesn't happen again.

Thankfully, I have only had to do this once in my 20 year career. I was on a welfare check and the woman that I was trying to help pulled a revolver and shot at me. She forced me to use lethal force to save my own life. I am thankful for my brother's and sisters who showed up for me and I will always show up for them. 💙💙💙

My oldest brother had to press the panic button when he and another officer were jumped by a group of people. He said he was so relieved to hear all the sirens coming towards them. My parents were called letting them know he was injured in the line of duty.

As a paramedic i had to hit the panic button a couple of times. It tied in with every agency i swear i have never seen that many people show up with pewpews drawn and neutralized the situation quickly.

I’ve seen some bodycam videos of when an officer is hit and it cuts to other officers hearing it over the radio. Whatever they were doing, writing speeding tickets, driving normally; BOOM! They hand whoever back their license and say they’re getting a warning or they flip a U-ey so hard and FUCKING FLY at the officer down. It was honestly one of the hardest videos to watch. One was saying, “No not (his name)” you can hear some of them cry. It was so heartbreaking. But seeing how they bolted to him as fast as humanly possible, it was tragic but it was also beautiful to know your boys had you, and tried as hard as they could.

As a medic we had a panic button or could call out a certain code over the radio and PD, Fire and more medics/our supervisor would literallyrush there. The whole calvary. It’s the most relieving feeling knowing your ppl are coming to help you in horrible situations. I pray the officers are okay.
