My 21 month old totally understands what I’m saying but will not take no for an answer. Maybe at 2

what are your opinions about dentist telling momma's their babies teeth are rotting due to breastfeeding through out the night?

But the hard thing isn’t weaning off during the day. It’s at night & middle of the night wake ups 😭

I just weaned at 15 months. I believe this to be true. My baby understood when I said (leche) milk bye bye. I was able to wean in a week. I did have to go cold turkey as removing feeds was taking a toll on her and myself. ✨

12 months and my daughter loves food so she’s made it easy for us. It’s emotionally hard for me though. I wish I didn’t have to stop but it’s impossible to keep going. I’m still proud of us for getting to this point.

Hi! I’m more than happy to keep nursing, but I don’t want to pump at work (14 months in). I’m down to only one pump at work for only 10 minutes, but I’m struggling to cut it out. I produce 7 ounces in that 10 minute session typically. Also, that would be 10 hours with no nursing/pumping. Any suggestions?

That's what I'm thinking as well, my girl just turned one a week ago and I intend to try and night wean when she seems to be able to understand me better and also communicate some of her needs more. I'm still nervous about the idea though.

thank you for this!! i am planning on breastfeeding until he self weans OR I hit 2.5 years so hes weaned by 3yrs. I have been so worried about how hard it would be to stop with the Horror stories I've heard from friends!

What did self weaning look like. Where the baby weans naturally. How did you wean?

I BF my 9 month old baby 7, 11, 3 and then at 7pm he has a bottle of breast milk (our doctor recommended it since he was 5th percentile). I have noticed recently I went from getting 6-7 ounces pumped milk for the bottle to 2 ounces. I don’t want to have to pump 3 times a day to make up that one bottle and I wish my pump session at night that replaces the bottle would just jump back up to 6-7 ounces so I would only have to pump once a day but it hasn’t even when I have been increasing the amount of pumping sessions! I am exhausted from pumping and feeling hopeless and am leaning towards using formula for that night feed! He also seems frustrated at the 3pm feed recently too so I am worried I am not giving him enough milk!

I nursed until 3 (mainly just to sleep) but when I was done I literally told my child he drank all the milk and it was gone.. that was the end of it lol now I'm nursing my 16 month old and plan on doing the same. they all stop eventually

Almost 16 months in and we have wean daytime feeds. She now takes cow milk during the day 5-10oz depending on the day. I no longer have to pump at work and it’s amazing. We still have 3-4 feeds from 4/5pm-5am. It’s kind of the best of both worlds. Hoping to continue to wean a feed at a time and eventually sleep through the night 😂
