Freezing is useless in deadlock. Because its better to just push it out and go collect boxes and kill jungle. Qnd if you freeze the enemy can do that too. (which isnt as good as getting the wave, but its not total loss.) BUT in league, there is a dedicated jungler so you dont take jungle while its pushed. Thats why it works better there
