I thought it was only in the Philippines. Teachers are blamed when most students fail.

The worst is when you have a curriculum you know works. The scores go up. We are the #1 district in our state, but they scrap the curriculum that works, that teachers love and get new one! Why???

DepEd changes the curriculum depending on who becomes the Secretary (who does not even have a background or an understanding in the teaching field)

this is my 5th year as a teacher and there has been a new curriculum in math, phonics, reading, etc. every single year. it's so overwhelming and I feel like I can never get good at teaching any of it.

They curriculum companies make the curriculum and then they make the supplemental programs. If their main program was so great, why do they make supplemental programs. All basals are a scam.
