i stayed the night at my friend morgan’s house one night as a kid. i was probably around 7 years old. we played outside, got mcdonald’s, watched a movie and then played wii sports with her whole family. i remember playing bowling specifically on the wii and everybody cheered when someone got a strike and groaned when they got a gutter ball. i remember sitting there wondering why my family couldnt be like that, and i cried when i had to go home. i wanted to pretend for just a little bit longer. we drifted apart after grade school and i moved states. but i remember just how much love pumped through that house. i’m 28 now and i think of them from time to time and i’m so grateful i got to see that families could be happy and that i was included in theirs. these kinds of parents are SO important.
