@cathrinmanningg: Replying to @Elyse Stufflebean turns out me telling this story is almost as long as the whole birth experience 🤣 I talked for 26 minutes about her actual birth so part 3 is when she actually pops out! I promise! #laboranddelivery #birthstory #unmedicatedbirth
After 15 hours of labor they decided I needed a c section. I flipped completely tf out. Screaming and ugly crying because I was terrified to get cut open while I was awake. My Dr ran in the room and sat in the bed with me and put his hands on my cheeks and had his nose almost to mine while looking into my eyeballs and talked me through calming down. He rode in my hospital bed all the way to the OR with me, petting my hair and telling me he's not leaving me and it's gonna be ok. When I tell you I love that man. That's an understatement. Best Dr ever!

THANK YOU for solidifying my thoughts on cervical checks. Because for me, they were AWFUL and I only got two without an epidural. Felt like I was getting punched down there

My youngest was born 9 MINUTES after I got to the hospital! They were running the gurney down the hall from triage, it was wild.

Girl. Empty that bladder and your baby is like, “Hello! We’re here!!! We have so much more room now!”

The water breaking is insane! My water broke during a push and splattered all over the wall, the tools, everything! I was wondering why the doctor was standing to the side and not in front of me! 🤣

LOL when I had my daughter my nurse checked me and she was like “you’re at almost a 9, I’m going to check on another patient and come right back”. As she was washing her hands I said “I feel like I need to poop”. She goes omg, checked and I was a 10 😂 she hit some button and everyone came running. 3 pushes later she was out.

L&D nurses and giving birth is such a definition of girlhood, the amount of female empowerment that happens in there brings me tears 2 years later 🥹

I was an ER nurse when a woman came in and she was crowning. I felt horrible because she was saying she was in pain but we didn’t even have enough time to put in an IV. Like I’m so sorry girl but the time is upon us.

This is why I tell people even if you plan for an epidural, prepare as if you can’t have one. Two unmedicated (but begged for epidural) births

I have to say this 😄 I had my first at just 19, and they said to me, this is gonna take hours, because its your first 😊 I wanted to push when I got to the hospital 😂 my first baby took 2 1/2 hours from first contraction, until he was born, my next took 4 1/2 hours (my best labor) 3 baby 1 hour and 45 minutes, 4 baby 45 min. 😂😂 all babies without any painmedication 😂❤️
