Steam was right. When Netflix etc launched, piracy pretty much fell off completely but now after all their price rises… piracy is back!

If buying is not owning then piracy is not stealing. Almost all the games I PAID MONEY FOR on play station are now locked. Only way I can u losk them is to pay money AGAIN. Nowhere in the purchasing process was it made clear that by pressing the "Buy" button I was not buying the game; I was paying money for the right to play the game for an unknown period of time.

Yeah I’m not getting a ps6. PC parts too expensive now too but I’d rather break the bank than give another dime to PlayStation. PS1-PS5, was a good run (not really).

It really is that simple. Sony could have provided backwards compatibility for PS2 & 3 and chose not so people turn to jailbreaking to get that feature

If the service you provide is reasonably priced and more convenient than piracy, piracy goes way down…like all the data points to this when Netflix first launched. Piracy was at an all time low. Companies looked at this and said “nah…make everything suck”.

They also made a ps5 thats digital only and it was the cheaper option so a lot of people own a digital only console. Obviously thats going to skew the numbers.
