the worst thing is (from my Australian perspective) that due to lno government funding assistance 99% of people who need psychiatric care can't get it because it's about $1200 USD for an initial appointment and $400 /appt later

My hope is that ai can cross reference fields/research in ways that make medicine less siloed perhaps saving all of us from having to see various doctors for each part of the body or even multiple specialists just for the brain ( neuro and psych )! As an aside I wish all providers were this passionate about their patients especially the most challenging ones!

The problem with psych is the fact that antipsychotics cause torture to patients in many cases and all the research funding has gone to more APs when it’s abundantly clear SAINT and previously banned party drugs have better response rates. Psych feels 100 years behind other specialties.
