@jamalward6: E Franklin Ave/1400 Block Fire Update from Melanie Rucker Assistant Chief Fire 📢🚒Tonight, I’m thinking about our neighbors along East Franklin Avenue and the firefighters working to protect them. 👉🏾Two Minneapolis firefighters were injured responding to today’s three-alarm fire. I spoke with Fire Chief Freeman and both are reported to be in stable condition. I’m grateful they are receiving care, and I’m wishing them a full recovery. Their families and their fellow firefighters are in my thoughts. We ask a great deal of the people who answer these calls. Today is a reminder of what that service can demand, and why our gratitude must come with support. 🤍To everyone responding: thank you. And to our neighbors: please avoid the immediate area, give crews room to work, and follow directions from emergency responders. Franklin Avenue is home to so many of the people and places that make our community who we are. Tonight, let’s look out for one another. —Jamal
