@adamavitable: Men think it’s a gender war because women aren’t willing to put up with them anymore. And these male coaches are desperate to keep their followers from engaging with women in good faith. #andthisisbacon #adviceformen #relationshipadvice
I’ve hit the invisibility of middle age, and guess what? I do NOT miss random men following me, harassing me, swearing at me because I don’t want to go for a drink, thanks. Now I can just be and it. Is. Awesome. No one needs that dude. 👎

Women have quit men. I think it’s something like 40% of women between the ages of 18 and 32 are not married and don’t plan on getting married at the moment. I am a widow and I don’t ever plan on getting married again. We have decided to pick the bear.

What is this “gender war” rubbish? Every person I directly work with is married or in a long term relationship. All over 30, mixture of men and women, some with kids, no “10’s” no “gym bros” no “alpha”. Just men and women who have met through conventional means, who are best friends, flawed, loving, and equal in the partnership. No war required.

And the men who choose emotional intelligence and become the better partners we are demanding… will be swimming in options. Regardless of their appearance or size or height or income.

The concept of ‘needing’ another person is what dooms us all. I didn’t ‘need’ my husband and my husband didn’t ‘need’ me. We were 20 when we got married (young, I know) but even then, we knew that we didn’t need one another but wanted one another. When both partners feel wanted and appreciated, the relationship is destined to prosper. I am about to be 46 and I haven’t had my husband around for seven years. Did it break my heart? Absolutely. Did it ruin my life? In some ways. But I knew I was going to be okay because: A. I worked our whole marriage, had my own insurance, savings and a wonderful support system B. I knew how to take care of the things my husband did because he taught me how before he passed. Had he had this black and white view of what a man should do and what a woman should do, I wouldn’t have known any about my taxes, the mortgage or how to properly continue to run his business. Young men, be a wanted man, not a needed man.
