@weirdfact4u: In 2019, 9-year-old Kade Lovell entered a 5K race, but ended up winning the 10K instead! During the St. Francis Franny Flyer race in Minnesota, Kade approached a turn where the 5K and 10K routes split. A woman told him to go straight, so he did. He soon noticed the race felt much longer, but kept running. Meanwhile, his mom, Heather Lovell, grew worried when he didn't appear where expected. She started searching the course and eventually learned a young boy was doing incredibly well on the 10K route. When Kade finally finished, his mom initially thought he was last. But race officials shared something unexpected: He finished first overall! Kade completed the 10K in just over 48 minutes, about a minute ahead of the second-place runner. Kade was already an experienced runner, having competed for years and trained with a cross-country club. What started as a wrong turn became one of his most memorable races. What's the most surprising thing you've ever accomplished by accident? #KadeLovell #WrongTurnWin #UnexpectedVictory #YouthRunner #InspirationalStory

48 minutes winning a 10k, even a local one, is crazy… did 6 people sign up? Still a great time for a kid.
