my personal "theory" is that Olivia was so deshevaled in ep 1 bc shes both old and sick, and sense the medical technology is a lot more advanced maybe she was able to get better in between the time of each scene. technically despite being the first scene of ep 2 it couldve happened during or after the episode, giving her more hours to get better. so she has less wrinkles now bc shes just old and less sick

The fancy suit we see Olivia wearing in episode 2 is a robot with a younger version of her face projected onto a screen. She pilots it from her bed to trick the board and the public into thinking she’s younger/healthier than she is.

I don't think it's the past tho it wouldn't make sense since in the pilot when she was in the bed Arthur was defeated and in EP2 where she appears a lot younger she went to Arthur's body

I swear this was the type of shit that was happening in the tf2 comics imagine if Olivia forgets about her own motives and realizes she’s been torturing others for no reason besides it was fun (I think that’s what she was doing since it’s been awhile since I read the comics)

This scene is probably a flash back! Why, you may ask? In the pilot, the sun guard has a crack near his eyes and in the scene, the mask is cracked, probably would explain why Olivia is younger than in the pilot. The suit she's wearing could be a support for her, but probably a solution that worked till she became bed ridden, like we see in the pilot
