The USA should take one of the few good things in the British (specifically English but I imagine it works the same in the other nations) political system. That being how television ads work, in the UK all paid political ads on commercial TV and Radio are illegal. The only time parties (a party that has at least 1 seat in a relevant assembly or they have shown that they have had or have a significant amount of support) are able to advertise is on select channels at select times for certain a certain amount of time. This also means it doesn’t feel like elections go on for ages.
