Here's what my days used to look like: ➡️Phone before my feet hit the floor.
Emails. Patients. Kid. Dinner. More emails.
Inside all day. Lights on. Screen on. Brain on. And the week before my period looked like:
➡️Bitching at my husband over nothing.
Annoyed with everything/everyone. Feeling like my skin was too tight. I blamed my hormones. But your hormones aren’t the problem… It’s you girl 😂
Well… your nervous system. Research shows that just 20 to 30 minutes in nature, with no phone, lowers cortisol faster than your body does on its own. Women with high stress early in their cycle also have 2 to 3x higher odds of moderate to severe PMS. When you're overstimulated all day, your body stays in

Women with high stress early in their cycle also have 2 to 3x higher odds of moderate to severe PMS. When you're overstimulated all day, your body stays in "go mode."
Go mode ➡️ higher stress hormones.
Higher stress ➡️ more inflammation.
And your brain gets worse at handling the normal hormone drop before your period (AKA the week before your period). So the shift that should feel like a small dip feels like falling off a cliff. That's PMS irritability/mood swings that shows up for a lot of you chickpeas.
It’s not a "hormonal" problem, so stop blaming themmmm!! It’s your nervous system with no off switch. Think about it.
When was the last time you sat outside and did nothing?
No podcast. No scrolling. No "productive" walk.
Just sat. If you can't remember, that’s your answer. Here's where to start:
✅1 hour outside. Every day.
✅ Phone stays inside.
✅ Morning sun.
✅ Don't fix anything. Don't plan anything. Just sit. Start with 20 minutes. Double it the week before your period. Your body doesn't need another supplement right now, so stop wasting your $$$. Now… Tell me the last time you did nothing and sat outside?? #womenshealth #moodswingsbelike #pmdd #pmsproblems #irritability #MoodSwings
